To set up and host an event, submit an inquiry through the "Host a Craft Night" page (coming soon). Crafts and Company will reach out to confirm the details and set a date. Please note: a party date and time is not reserved until you receive a Party Confirmation email confirming the date, time and location.
When the host of your craft night has finalized the details with Crafts and Company they will send you a link to sign up for the event. You will choose a project/design and pay all in one convenient spot. All attendees must sign up for the event individually.
Crafts and Company will arrive at the Host’s location up to 60 minutes (dependent on number of guests and therefore materials to set up) prior to the start of the event. Crafts and Company will bring all of the wood projects and materials needed to paint/stain and stencil the projects as selected by the guests during sign-up. In addition, Crafts and Company will provide folding tables, table coverings, under-table coverings and aprons for crafters for the event. If additional items are required this will need to be discussed during the event set-up and should arise while discussing the desired location of the hosted event.
Because of the custom, handmade nature of the projects, if a host needs to cancel a craft night, it must be done at least 14 calendar days prior to the scheduled event date to ensure a 100% refund for the host and all attendees. Should a host need to cancel within 14 calendar days of the scheduled event date, Crafts and Company will do their best to reschedule the event. Crafts and Company reserves the right to charge a storage fee of $10/project for any rescheduled events. If, for any reason, the event cannot be rescheduled and must be fully cancelled, Crafts and Company reserves the right to retain up to 100% of the fees collected from the host and attendees.
We realize that life can be hectic and plans change. If you need to reschedule more than 14 days before the party, we will work with you to find a more suitable date. While we can reschedule within the 14 days leading up to the event, we can’t guarantee the event can be rescheduled. We will try our best to accommodate, but we ask that you try to let us know as soon as possible if you need to move your date. Rescheduling close to the event means costs may have already been incurred to make the materials and extra storage may be necessary depending on when you plan to reschedule.
Yes! One of the things that makes Crafts and Company special is that, as a small business with handmade, custom pieces, it’s possible to customize wood projects and designs to suit the needs of our clientele. That being said, custom work outside of our current offerings may incur additional time and costs. You can indicate you want to customize your project when you sign up for a craft night and we'll reach out to figure out the details. Should you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us to come up with a plan!
Craft Nights typically lasts 2-3 hours but can vary depending on number of guests and how social the attendees like to be during the crafting. If you have time constraints for your event, please discuss this when we're reserving your date so we can work with you to meet your needs.
All crafters will choose their stain and paint colors at the time of the event. If you have something specific in mind before the start of the event we ask that you let us know when you sign up for the project/event so we can make sure we have the materials you require or can work with you to meet your needs.
Crafts and Company is located in the Kennett Square, PA area (19317). We are willing to travel outside that area dependent on planned number of guests in attendance. If you’re not sure whether you’re in our service area, please contact us and let us know how many guests you’re planning to have and where you’re located!
One of the things that makes Crafts and Company special is that, as a small business with handmade, custom pieces, it’s possible to customize wood projects or designs to suit the needs of our clientele. We make each wood project and stencil by hand for each client. While other Craft Night businesses have set locations and studios, we travel to our wonderful hosts to enable them to hold a fun and unique gathering for their family and friends. Our hosts and crafters receive a one of a kind, personalized experience, without sacrificing professionalism and expertise.
While our traditional events are not geared towards kids, we are open to working with you to find a project that can be completed with kids and parents working together or for older children who are able to follow directions and work with painting materials independently. Yes! If you see something on our website that you’d like, but aren’t able to host or attend an event, please contact us and we’ll work with you to get you what you need. Please note: due to the size of most of the items, shipping may not be an option. That being said, pre-made purchases would work best for local clientele in the Kennett Square, PA (19317) area for ease of drop-off/pick-up.
